1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files used by websites to make the user experience more efficient. By law, we can store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For all other types of cookies, we need your permission.
Server Log Files (Hosting)
Since we host our website ourselves, our server automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of server request
- IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As a website operator, we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of our website – for this purpose, server log files must be recorded. This data is usually deleted automatically after 7 days.
2. How Do We Use Cookies and Services?
Our website uses various types of cookies and services:
- Necessary: store your cookie choice and language and – only if you open it – the session ID of the AI chat. Without them the website does not work properly. No consent is required for this (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).
- Statistics (Google Analytics): helps us understand how visitors use the website. Only with your consent.
- Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA): protects the contact form against spam. Only with your consent; without it the form is locked.
- External media (Instagram, Google Maps): displays embedded Instagram posts and the Google map directly. Only with your consent or after clicking “Load”.
Google Analytics (Analytics)
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Usage is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).
Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (e.g. “_ga”) that allow repeat visits to be recognised. IP addresses are not stored. The data is kept for a maximum of 14 months. A transfer of personal data to the USA cannot be ruled out; it is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which the provider is certified.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings. In addition, you can deactivate Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
Google reCAPTCHA (Security)
We use "Google reCAPTCHA" on our websites. The provider is Google Ireland Limited. reCAPTCHA is used to check whether data entry on our websites (e.g., in a contact form) is done by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics (e.g., IP address, duration of stay, mouse movements).
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG). reCAPTCHA is only loaded after your consent and may set cookies (e.g. “_GRECAPTCHA”). Further information: Google privacy policy.
External media: Instagram and Google Maps
Embedded Instagram posts (Meta) and the Google map are only displayed after clicking “Load” or with your consent to the category “External media”. When loading, Meta or Google may set their own cookies. Details can be found in our privacy policy.

3. Managing Your Consent
On your first visit we show you a banner. There you can choose “Accept all”, “Necessary only” or allow individual categories under “Settings”. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer or the following button.
